Cotswold Area Community Orchestra

The Cotswold Area Community Orchestra (CACO) is a Non-Auditioning* Orchestra for instrumentalists of all ages. The Orchestra is open to players of approximatly Grade 3 and above standard. It is an ideal opportunity for both families and individuals to come together and make music in a friendly and relaxed, yet progressive atmosphere. It is a traditional orchestra in its instrumentation but members have the comfort of knowing they are not the only person on their part.

Rehearsals take place on Wednesday Evenings from 7-30 to 9-00pm at Selsley Scout Hut.

CACO take part in a number of concerts throughout each year, performing a wide range of music. Current repertoire is centred around music for film including Dances with Wolves, Lord of the Rings, Polar Express and many more.

*Although CACO is a Non-Auditioning Orchestra, CAMM reserves the right to limit Woodwind and Brass places on a first come first serve basis and therefore at present we have a waiting list for clarinets, but spaces for all other instruments.
